Scheme for Kithcen

We bought the stove already, a wonderful smeg oven, half price at Byggreisdeg. Since the wall behind it is concrete, we wanted to have it free standing to expose as much of the wall as possible.
The kitchen is oak, both counter top and front. If I get my details right, the counter top will expand into the window opening of the wall, and give us a larger working plane.

Plan fundament

Last revision of the fundament.

The snow has arrived

They say its early, and it is causing some complications regarding getting stuff to the site...imagine what its going to be like. All the columns are ready and the preparation for the concrete floor is about to finish, but are being delayed due to the late arrival of a tank.  Well, this is the first hurdle so far, and it is not a big one.
The entrance shaft to the technical room.

The outline of shower/toilet niches...looks so small in plan.
The photo below shows the three rows of concrete columns that will carry the load of the house, pluss 600 kg/m2 of possible snow. As you see they are slightly higher than the ring foundation, to elevate this part of the cabin. My worry is how the landscape facilitates this level difference now that we had to remove all the soil. My guy with the tractor says its going to be great, and by the look of all the gravel that he has put there it looks promising.

Fenestration

This is it. I never thought it was possible to be so indecisive in terms of facade. The big bathroom window was removed in order to get a more clear concept of fenestration. And it will be cheaper, which is always good.
After lots of research on midrange priced windows we are going for H-vindu with aluminum on the outside. They had the cleanest look and are recommended by professionals. Id love to use Welfac, but it would kill our budget. Why, why, why is beautiful also expensive.

Pillars

The cast for the columns are now beginning to be placed throughout the site. We decided to use the space inside the foundation as a mini-cellar for different technical installations, instead of digging stuff down on other places on the site. Saved a lot of money right there. Sometimes you wonder why you didn`t think of that before. They said it was going to snow 20cm the day after this picture was taken, so maybe this is the last picture were its not all white....mh, winter is just around the corner allready, especially up there.Luckily my contractors are used to working in these conditions.
